The restaurant occupies the former Coco’s Restaurant and Bakery site and becomes the brand’s second location in San Diego County, joining the existing El Cajon diner. Founded in Mount Shasta, California in 1995, Black Bear Diner has grown into a nationwide brand known for its rustic lodge‑style décor, bear‑themed interiors, newspaper‑style menus, and hearty breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings.
